The people who actually repair your laptop
Every repair is completed by a named engineer, and every guide on this site is written or reviewed by one of them. No agency copywriters, no anonymous bylines. These are the 5 people whose work you are trusting.

At the bench since 2014
Adem Haber
Founder & Lead Board-Level Engineer
- CompTIA A+
- IPC-7711 rework
- 11 years on the bench
Specialises in: Microsoldering, power-rail faults, BGA rework
Adem started LaptopHaber in 2014 with one bench and a stereo microscope, after years of watching customers quoted £600 for a motherboard when the actual fault was a 40p capacitor.
He runs the microsoldering bench and has completed more than 9,000 component-level repairs on Apple, Dell, HP, Lenovo and ASUS logic boards. He reviews every technical guide published on this site before it goes live.

At the bench since 2017
Daniel Okafor
Senior Repair Engineer
- CompTIA A+
- Apple-trained technician
- 8 years on the bench
Specialises in: Display assemblies, hinge rebuilds, chassis work
Daniel handles the display bench, which means he sees more cracked panels in a week than most technicians see in a year. He is the reason we match panels by part number rather than by size.
He also runs our hinge-rebuild process, developed after too many customers came back with a second cracked screen because the mount that broke the first one was never repaired.

Rosa Delgado
Data Recovery Lead
- ISO 27001 practitioner
- NIST 800-88 sanitisation
- 9 years in recovery
Specialises in: Logical and physical recovery, chain of custody
Rosa runs the imaging station and the locked drive cabinet. Every drive that comes in is imaged before anyone attempts anything, and every access is logged — a process she wrote and audits quarterly.
She handles encrypted volumes under NDA for legal and healthcare clients, and she is the person who decides when a drive goes no further because another read attempt would risk the data.

Hannah Price
Diagnostics & Customer Engineer
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Network+
- 6 years on the bench
Specialises in: Intake triage, thermal service, upgrades
Hannah runs the 62-point diagnosis and writes the fault reports customers actually receive. If you have had a quote from us with photographs attached and plain-English reasoning, that was her.
She specialises in the unglamorous repairs that deliver the most value — thermal services and storage upgrades that turn a machine someone was about to replace back into a usable one.

At the bench since 2018
Priya Natarajan
Power Systems Engineer
- CompTIA A+
- Li-ion handling certified
- 7 years on the bench
Specialises in: Charging circuits, battery safety, USB-C power delivery
Priya handles everything between the wall socket and the board: charging ICs, DC jacks, USB-C power delivery negotiation and the swollen cells that need containing safely.
She holds our lithium-ion handling certification and manages the licensed disposal route for every battery that leaves the workshop.

How we assign work
Your machine is assigned to one engineer, and their name is on the job sheet, the quote and the invoice. If something is not right afterwards, you are not explaining it again to a stranger — you are talking to the person who did the work.
Board-level jobs are assigned to whoever holds the relevant platform experience, and anything involving a swollen cell or liquid ingress goes to a certified handler regardless of queue position. Every completed repair is signed off by a second engineer before it is boxed, and the burn-in log is kept with the job record.
Guides on this site carry the byline of the engineer who wrote them and are reviewed by Adem Haber before publication. Our full process is set out in the editorial guidelines, and the way we handle the data on your drive is covered in the privacy policy.
We are 14 engineers in total; the 5 above lead their respective benches. Want to talk to one directly? Call the workshop on 020 7946 0958 or send us the symptoms and it will be routed to the right bench.
Tell us what your laptop is doing. We will tell you what it needs.
No queue, no call centre, no "we will have to send it away". Describe the symptoms and a LaptopHaber.com engineer replies with the likely cause and a price bracket — usually within two working hours, always before you commit to anything.
- No fix, no fee Decline the quote and you pay nothing — we even return it free.
- 12-month warranty Parts and labour, on every repair we complete.
- 48 hours average Priority 24-hour lane available on most repairs.
- Walk-in or mail-in London workshop, plus free tracked UK collection.
